King Nyaung-U Sawrahan (Taungthugyi)

Ruling Years : A.D (931 - 964)

Before King Anawrahta's reign, Sawrahan was one of the king who's name was found on one of the stone tablets in A.D 1212. He renovated the monastery that he donated and the tablet was carved about his donation and renovation.

He was also known as the Taungthugyi Min. He built five magnificent well-known monuments in Bagan. Among those one of the well-known is the Pahtothamya Temple situated in Old Bagan.
