Tadingyut Candle Light Festival

Tadingyut is a special time for Buddhists in Myanmar and everyone enjoy this time. It is a time of giving homage and respect to elders.

In Bagan, mostly at every Pagodas and Temples, there are lighting of hundreds of candles. It is done by the trustee of the respective Pagodas.

The candle light festival is held for 3 days. Before the Full Moon Day of Tadinguyt, the Full Moon Day of Tadingyut and the day after the Full Moon Day.
